Larami 1987 Water Laser Blaster Sucessfully Repaired

When I first acquired this blaster it was not in working order. When the trigger was pulled you could hear the motor rev so that was clearly working. Second thought was okay maybe the inlet line is pinched, seeing as previous owner apparently inserted the magazine incorrectly compressing it. After clearing out the line with a piece of filament the blaster still wouldn't fire. So must be internal possibly gears as these are known for gear stripping. In the shell there are 4 visible screws, unfortunately 1 screw is located underneath the side plates on the grip (as shown in second picture). I did not wish to damage they blaster externally, so I made the hard decision to cut the screw post off (shown in third picture). Internally I discovered a cracked gear (not the cause of the problem) and a stuck plunger (shown in fourth picture). Previously this blaster was probably left in a hot attic or garage causing the plunger to basically melt to the walls of the plunger tube. Which allowed the motor to rev, but kept the blaster from firing. When I removed the plunger it just completely fell apart, before removing it I had taken rough dimensions. I was able to take the ID (Inner Diameter) of the plunger tube and make a model of the plunger in SOILDWORKS. After a few prints and very minimal adjustments I was able to get a plunger that fit like glove. Put the new plunger in, resoldered the wires I had knocked off the motor, and put it all back together, and it worked like new.
