CPS 2500 pump

Post by hmkobe » Fri Jul 10, 2015 1:36 pm

This might be a stupid question.
The picture attached is of my CPS 2500's pump, but is this normal or some parts missing? I bought this from ebay but it has some pumping difficulty (sometimes cannot pump water into the chamber), so trying to specify what the problem is. Thank you.

Lube the pump with some silicone grease and try pumping faster and see if that works

First off, welcome to WWN.

You seem to have quite the number of issues with your CPS 2500. It would have been a good idea to consolidate your questions into a single thread rather than addressing each minor issue in separate threads.

The pics are a great help though. The rubber gasket on your pump has probably shrunk like many others do, you can try and add something underneath the flange to improve the seal. I've used vinyl tubing, and marauder has used o rings.

Thank you very much. Sorry for being confusing by making separate threads, I will consolidate questions for the future questions.
By the way, thanks to all of your great advices, my CPS 2500 is now working great. I will definitely try adding either vinyl tube or o-rings to the pump also. Thank you.

You may want to try this repair as well. You can use it as a modification against future pump problems. So is your 2500 working now? It does sound like it came with a lot of problems.
