CPS 3000, No Tank or Hoses ...

Post by LinWarrior » Sat Jul 20, 2013 4:28 pm

Hey there, found an old CPS 3000 in my houses. Unfortunately the backpack and hoses are no where to be seen. Is there any hoses + backpack mod that would allow me to use my CPS 3000 to near full potential if not better ?

Just make a homemade backpack out of a solar shower, some tubing and electrical tape. You'll need some glue if you want to seal it permanently, but then it is harder to detach. If you roll the right amount of electrical tape around the hose it should seal and stay fairly well. In my experience it has worked.

I assume I would get a 3 Gallon or 5 Gallon backpack such as this

http://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Elements ... B000J2Q0T4

remove the shower part and connect tubes if needed then just stick the tube in and glue or tape it ?

I found a guide of of here but unfortunately the pictures were remove

Would I suffer any range / power issues ?

Not at all. When you pump, the water in the backpack is sucked into the pressure chamber in the gun where the pressure is stored not in the backpack reservoir. I assume you know how CPS works right?

Just make sure, the backpack is connected right and sealed when connected to the CPS 3000! Otherwise you wil get some air within the water and so inside the PC, which will end up in mis shots...Besides this, there is nothing to be aware from :)

Should be a smart and easy thing to do ;)

Good luck

No power decrease so long as it is sealed as GJIV said. Good Luck.
