Community War Name - Vote Here!
Well, since no one else offered any name ideas, I figure I'll start up the poll. I picked out the names that seemed the most popular. I don't think I missed any, but if I did, there's an "Other" option.
I vote for Aquapocalypse, mainly because it sounds more like the real word that it's based on, as opposed to Hydropocalypse.

Not sure if that is the way to go. Hydro flows better.

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
Is it really a good thing that Aquapocalypse is close to the original word? I can see a lot of trouble stemming from that

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
What about "Waterpocalypse" or "Soakopalypse"? (Yes, I meant "Soakopalypse" as opposed to "Soakopocalypse" or "Soakapocalypse").

I like Soakopalypse, I was thinking of something similar with Hydrocalypse, I think anything in that area sounds good enough.
I'm also trying to think of something natural, like monsoons or hurricanes. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I assure you it might be good.

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
I suggested it, but nobody seemed interested at the time, so I didn't include it in the poll.Me in the other thread wrote:My thoughts exactly. I suppose we could shorten it to "CWW", but that's kind of boring. Let me think...
Soakapolypse? Community Premier Soaking Event (Or CPS Event for short. )? SEAL Is Awesome (Erm, scratch that... )? Or maybe just "The Water War" (Because it's THE water war!)...

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
Voting was kinda tricky, I lot of good ideas. I decided to say to myself "are you coming to (insert name here)" as if I was asking some one about it and Hydropocalypse sounded best. I think I like Downpour second though, then probably my idea of W.W.E.T. 3rd. Hydropocalypse and Aquapocalypse are tied as of my vote.

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
Shall we decide after New Years? Or should we wait longer for more people to vote?

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
Considering it is almost half-and-half, need to try for more of a consensus first or have the community war organizers make the final call.SEAL wrote:Shall we decide after New Years? Or should we wait longer for more people to vote?

A mods able to send a pm to everybody? That might draw in people who don't post as often.

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
It's kind of sad, but that's probably the good majority of the Community right there.

carbonate: Well, a lot of us are older audience. None of the community members who attended the war were under 16 (Speaking of attending, if you're anywhere nearby, you should come next year!).
But anyway, I suppose we could decide after the new year, but it would be nice if some more members voted before then (I know there are more than 10 active-ish members out there!).

Not really.
And to carbonate, look at nerf. Some of them are in their 30s. Yet they still atend APOC and countless other cheesy named events. the names are meant to attract atention of newcomers. The vets are going to go no matter what it is called.

I guess it will be fine for promotion purposes Merry Christmas anyways
Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
We could have a runoff poll if neither pulls away soon.

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
what is a runoff going to do when only two really have votes anyway?

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
If I end up creating a logo or something again, I probably shouldn't stick the HBWW logo in it if I'm not going to attend LOL. No idea on my chances of being able to make it though, but the chances will likely be higher for this year than last particularly if I get a job. I'll report back whenever I know anything more about it.
As for the name of the community war, go figure. I'm having trouble coming up with Project Soaking Trident's final title and the codename itself isn't all that great IMO either.

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!
Leave it up until early spring, we will have a few more old member stop by, and hopefully some freshblood coming in to.
