I never really liked using 2 soakers at once. I tried it a couple of times, but I could never use both effectively. I used a CPS 1000 and 1500.

I figured out today that I wield a single soaker much better than two or three. Speed and agility played a huge role in today's victory. Switching positions and then switching back as if nothing happened is a really useful ability. Last year a tried a 2500 and 1100 combo, but it restricted agility too much. I used just an 1100 today and was really fast, even with a backpack carrying my Defender and extra water.

I carry:
CPS 2000,2500
XP270
XP20

That's when i'm heavy gunning.

Otherwise i usually just take a 1500, 2000, or 2500,
with a 1200 as backup.

If sniping, i take a 2000 with a 1500 as backup.

Hm, recently, I started switching to my 1000/10k and Max-D 3000 with 1 or 2 water bottles. I could also replace the 10k with my 12k, which seems to have a better PC capacity. The 10k has 15 balloons and the 12k has 25.

If I use my 2700 again, it'll have to be by itself with nothing else. (except maybe a max-d 3000, but really, there shouldn't be any need with the 2700's immense capacity and firing chamber size)

Is slipping on 5 to 10 balloons on the 2700 a good idea? Most people don't like the idea of k-modding a 2700 but if a few more balloons can get more range without compromising capacity, I'd like to try it)

From what i've heard (mostly from DX), the 2700 is extremely hard to put back together. It isn't worth it, especially for only a 5-10 balloon mod.

I find that a FF with the new(ish) aqua pack and a combat type shield attached to one side, with a smallish pistol, (i dont actually know what its called, its quite old and all the stickers had come off with use) works extremely well.

Anybody got any good combos for snipers?

Any longer range water gun (preferably one with 50 or more feet of range, but those are rare outside of the DIY world) plus a smaller backup one with decent range is fine. You get your hit out and then run away with the smaller backup gun as your primary until you can fully charge again. Alternatively you can save some of your shot on your primary and use that when exiting.

I just got a XP 70 and a XP 110 from a local thrift store.

Depending on the mission, I'll use either one along with my CPS 2100. I gotta remember to K-Mod that soon. Dreadnaught's too.

@Gold Hawk: you managed to get your hands on an XP 110? I like those soakers a lot. Of course, I have a slight preference for the XP310, but the XP 110 performs well and its stream gives a particularly good sting if you pre-pressurize the PCs a bit with air before pumping in water. Planning on putting on straps onto your soakers? Otherwise, how do you plan to carry a CPS2100 and an XP 110 at the same time? Backpack?

Ah the 110. It has served me beautifully over the past 5 years, I feel bad that I've been using it less and less, but it's been reduced to a heavy backup that won't fit in any backpack I own ever since I got a WW Lightning.
There are quite a few combos I want to try come summer. Previously I'd only use 1 gun and some squirt pistols, whether the gun be a 110, MD6k, Lightning, Scorpion or Blazer. I've always had backups, namely the Yellow Jacket and Xenon, but I never used them because most of my opponents only had one weapon and so deemed it unfair to use more than one soaker.
This year I'll try getting my friends more into water warfare, so that I can use a combo like the CPS 2700+STE Triple Shot, or Blorca+Modded Lightning.

I generally have the following combo in wars:
Splat Blaster+Blazer (generally normal to carry, both have straps)+Modded FF +50 oz aquapack (Needs a strap)

Maybe if I fix my 3000 by giving it a backpack, I can use 2000+3000+SPLAT BLASTER! :goofy: :soaked:

Last war, I went with a 2500 as a primary instead of my 12k. I like the nice, oversize feel of the cannon style, but it uses up pressure a bit fast and is fairly demanding in the tactical respect. However, its 10X is a lot more potent and has a little more range than the 12k's 5X.

I still use either the Max-D 2000 or 3000, usually in my pocket, as a sidearm, plus I carry at least 3 .5L bottles at any given time. Very conventional rifleman setup I must say...

does anyone know if a tarantula,MAX D 2000 dual wield work?

It should work...both are small enough to hold so you shouldn't have a problem. The Tarantula doesn't need pumping and the MD2K has fairly good shot time. The Tarantula is much larger, from what I've seen in stores, but it's not too big a deal.
