Super Soaker Positons

Post by teamfear » Fri May 29, 2009 11:24 pm

I noticed how there is not that many guides that list positions in water warfare but there are a few out there on less popular Nerf sites. Here is my guide. I may be making more guides if I have the chance and depending on the feedback. This is one of these things I enjoy reading and imagining so hopefully it helps people who are looking for the same kind of things.

Scout
Size: Smaller the better
Speed: Fast
Stealth: Good

Scouts are used for recon missions on enemy positons. Scouts should be fast and be gifted in the art of steath. The smaller they are the better so they have a smaller physical footprint and a lesser chance of being spotted. In forest battles they should be cameoed but in an urban environment it doesn't matter. They should carry a light rifle and possibly a powerful sidearm to stop mobility restrictions but still be able to fight. Scouts should carry binoculars and a walkie talkie to radio back to the rest of the squad. Some scouts may prefer to use bikes when the terrain makes it possible for fast movement. They may also carry a few Water Grenades to ambush outposts.

Recommended Weapons
Primary: SS 50 remake, pulse blaster, Tripe Shot, Liquidator, Defender
Sidearm: Max D 2000, 3000, 4000, Barracuda

Grunt
Size: Any
Speed: Average
Stealth: Average

Grunts are the backbone of an army. There isn`t much need for special training so anyone can be one. All they need to do is engaged the enemy with medium assault rifles or piston rifles, really anything they can get their hands on. They should fight in groups so they can maneuver tacticly to defeat opponents. They should have good mobility but no special traits. They should carry a good sidearm also.

Recommended Weapons
Primary: Max D 5000,6000, Flash Flood
Secondary: Max D 2000, 3000, 4000, Barracuda

Shotgunner s
Size: Medium
Speed: Fast
Stealth: Average

Shotgunner s compliment squads nicely as they have devastating short range weapons such as Piston Combat Shotguns and Riot Blast Shotguns. They are good for going around corners and ambushes. They should also be able to chase down opponents who have exposed their back in retreat. They also can be good guards and escorts because if someone gets to close: Spash, Splash, Splash! They should not go out alone because if they get pinned down by heaver weapons they are done because they cannot keep up with range. When I use a shotgun I decide not to use a sidearm so I can run faster and use two hands for piston guns.

Recommended Weapons
Primary: Splatter Shot, Modded Blazer, Modded CPS 1200, Sneak Attack, XP 105

Storm Troopers
Size: Large
Speed: Fast
Stealth: Low

Storm troopers carry heavy assault rifles with good power. They are good for intimidating the enemy and driving them back. They should be skilled warriors and fast runners. There physical presence brings fear into the hearts of the opponent. They carry larger weapons but do not play the support role. They are like a hybrid of a HWO and a Shotgunner

Recommended Weapons
Primary: Expedition, CPS 1000, 1500, 2100, 4100, XP 150

HWO
Size: Large
Speed: Slow
Stealth: Slow

Heavy Weapons officers carry cannons, Tankers and other heavy weapons. They should be strong but speed is not a factor so they load them selfs up with weaponry. A HWO provides support for the squad by giving covering fire and carrying extra water. These people should know how to use their expensive weapons properly so they stay in peak condition. They are good for base defense and squad support.

Recommended Weapons:
Primary: Monster XL, CPS 2000, 2500, 2700
Secondary: SC Power Pak, CPS 3200, CPS 3000

Artillery Officer
Size: Large
Speed: Average
Stealth: Good

The artillery officers work in groups and man siege and base defense weapons such as Water Balloon launching Devices and homemades. They should be good with aim and have good teamwork skills. They should be good at concelaing their positon to make their barrages more lethal. They may also have a pistol as a Personal Defense Weapon.

Recommended Weapons
Primary: Water Balloon launcher, Water Balloon Sling Shot, Homemade water cannon
Secondary: Max D 2000,3000,4000,Barracuda

Grenadier
Size: Average
Speed: Good
Stealth: Average

Grenadiers are trained to throw water balloons at the opponent by hand, accurately, within rapid sequence. They should carry 2 or 3 pringles containers of them on a belt around their waist. They should have good speed to attack fortifications with and some stealth to avoid being seen. Their throws are not good for open places but for out ranging poorly equipped bases without WBL`s.

Recommended Weapons
Primary: Water Grenades
Secondary: Max D 2000,3000,4000, Barracuda

Commanders

Size: Large
Speed: Average
Stealth: Average

Commanders are the leaders of team`s. They lead by example and must also be smart. They should also be older than most of the teammates so they respect their orders and listen. They carry foam swords for commanding and a blaster that fits their style. They Should also carry a walkie talkie and binoculars.

Recommended Weapons:
Primary: Any
Secondary: Any pistol and a foam sword

Vanguards
Size: Large
Speed: Fast
Stealth: Excellent

Vanguards are the most experienced and highly trained personnel on a team. They carry heavy weapons and water balloons. They can fend for them selfs. A single vanguard should be able to hold his own against at least 3 grunts. They carry extra ammo to support themselves. A Vanguard is a good unit to add to any squad or for covert missions because of there skills. You could compare on to a Spartan from the Halo video games :D.

Recommended Weapons:
Primary: CPS 2000, CPS 2500
Secondary: Water Grenades and a CPS 1000, 1200, 2100, XP 150, SS 100, SS 200

MY team (when it existed), consisted of a grunt, a scout, and a vanguard. Good work!

EDIT: I would like to add one position: The guy who stays out of sight the entire war and comes in at the most intense battle and pwns (pardon my leet speak) everyone with a CPS 2000 and a Monster XL
Water Warrior for three summers and counting.
Was captain of a team, but team disbanded due to lack of interest.
Still love soakers.

That would be a Storm Trooper in my mind with a larger gun. Kind of a Storm Trooper and Vanguard or HWO hybrid. Storm Troopers are for charging down opponents using physical intimidation to their advantage so If you send in some to unbalance a battle it could be very useful.

Are you the Vanguard Steel_boot :goofy: (question mark my computers being dumb)
