Concept: Water Slug

Post by isoaker » Sat Sep 26, 2009 8:46 pm

I think the name came to me when I was dreaming about a water blaster capable of pushing out a good-sized "slug" of water. The perpendicular PC might end up trapping some water, but I had hoped for better maximum power/water flow by its arrangement.

I'd like to see that. Just the intake tube alone would be an improvement over traditional soakers.

Nice photoshop. I had to look at it a couple of times to make sure it wasn't real.

Never liked intake tubes, they miss a lot of the water meaning for a lowered efficient capacity. What's the plus?

Still love soakers.

Glad you like the pic! Was done using Adobe Photoshop. Also, welcome to the forums! Enjoy your stay, but please don't overuse the smileys!

Weird, I've seen this before but apparently never commented on it.

The PC looks small and disappointing (unless it can actually handle the 10X nozzle listed [doubtful for HydroPower], though it's still small nonetheless), but it's a pretty good photoshop as far as I'm concerned. Partially tracked pump is a good idea that has been contemplated several times and one or two XP's came close to having an ideal semi-tracked pump. (I think it was the XP110)

Speaking of BBT's PCs, a picture of the Vindicator's bladder has been posted at SSC.

Generally, most people who use photoshop just use it for some basic uses though you can do just about anything about it. It takes a bit of time to get through and learn some basics of imagery editing but can be useful in the future depending on how often you're on the computer. I'm not sure on it's price so you may have to look those up.

You can have fun with the smileys, but just don't clog up posts with them. ;)

Not to turn the conversation to computers, but Gimp is a toned down version of photoshop which can easily handle the average user. It is also free, while photoshop is quite a bit more.

Can you make a somewhat realistic picture in Gimp? Where can I download it? :sucker:

Edit: Oh. It's in your post. :P
