Re: This is outrageous!

Ah crap. I hate to be the jerk here, but I've got a few points to, uh, point out. Document, document, document. Names and badge numbers of the officers you talked to. If they won't give you those, license plate numbers and the date, cops have to clock their cars out. What they said, specifically. Or...

Re: Soakin' German Discos

While I promote the use of Super Soakers wholeheartedly, there's a distinct lack of women in those pictures (4 in 6 pictures), and a whole LOT of shirtless guys. Kind of makes me wonder if it's an, erm, alternative club.

Very nice. I'm still pleased as punch that someone's getting use out of these. One thing I should mention - the last 2 pics are not from the 500.

Re: Pics+Limited Stats: Storm 1200

I'd like to think the Storm guns were all based on a now defunct television show called seaQuest - the resemblences to their laser pistols/rifles are huge. That's what got me into them initially. Man, I loved that show...

Re: Pics+Limited Stats: Storm 2500

I'm guessing that's one of the ones I sent you. Glad to see you're getting some use out if it! The reason the color scheme is different is because there were two color schemes for a while. Storm had sort of a "competition" line of red/black and blue/orange soaker, and encouraged kids to divide into ...

Want.

That is awesome. It's like an RPG for waterfights.

Re: Preferred Battle Ground

My favorite battleground was a mix of forest, plains, and swampland. Normally fought around houses and in yards, so fighting in the woods was always a treat.

Howdy there!

You need to stir up the pro-water warfare sentiment. Get out and soak somebody!

2009 Soaker Sightings

Wal-Mart: Quikblast. Looked like it was trying to be a bazooka/RPG and failing horribly. Tubular rez., straight pistol grip about halfway down the length of the soaker, front pistol grip to work a piston. Typical syringe type soaker. I think Hasbro put these out last year. Some cool looking piston g...

Re: Best Way to Score a Soak?

With a soaker. :D

We've always used the honor system. Always seemed to work well. With a more serious game (like some sort of competition) something more objective would have to be used. I'd go with a color-change shirt or a soakertag type device.

There are actually some decent sales there. Finally, those soakers are being priced what they're worth.

That is pretty. Though if I were the guy taking the picture, or living in the house on the far right, I think I'd want to get behind something. Something very thick.

Re: Traps!

Only set one trap ever, and it was a nice one. I tied a piece of twine about 10-12 feet off the ground between 2 trees, and hung a pulley from it. Between the two trees at ankle heigh, I tied an easily broken vine. From the vine to the pulley I ran another piece of twine, from which I suspended a Co...

Re: What games do YOU prefer?

We played big team soakfests whenever we got the chance, though on occasion we fought free-for-alls. I really like team warfare with friends. DX: Your scenarios strike me as the future of serious water warfare - objective based, practiced by older kids. Good for you if you've helped instill an affin...

Re: I think I got busted again

The squad car was probably not for you. It was likely just doing patrols. AFAIK, there's no place in America that bans kids from having waterguns, products that they can freely buy at any major retailer, on their own property. Don't worry about it. That said, don't go out and don ye olde ghille suit...

Re: Broken XP 110

As others have said, epoxy or tape. Go with epoxy. Tape will eventually come off, and no matter how careful you are, it will leak. Try and get epoxy on the inside of the res., so you get a seal from that side as well. Then slather it on the outside. Epoxy is like butter, you can never use too much. ...

Re: Help!what are the Longest range water guns available?

The greatest ranged soakers are the old CPSs. All the old classics. See if you can find a CPS 2000 on ebay. Alternatively, I've heard that the CPS 1700 achieved abnormally long range. Good luck.

Really, really liking the look of that last one. Big and powerful, exactly what's missing in soakerdom.

Any chance we could see some length in soakers? Something we could actually aim? Everything so far seems to be best fired from the hip as opposed to the shoulder.

Re: 2009 Water Warriors Pulse Series

How do you mean funny? The pistol grips look TINY. I'd be afraid of snapping them off.

Love the look of them, color, styling, size, everything. BuzzBee really did some good work here. I'll be interested in hearing how they perform.
