I have a better idea of my scheduling now. I have family stuff on the weekend of the 24th and HvZ on the 31st. The 10th is too soon, which leaves the 17th as the only weekend I could do (which is also pretty soon). All of my weekends in April are already booked for events.
RIP?

"Precise shots up to 10 meters. Because soaking is so 1990." Ironically, soaking was so 1990. Most contemporary Hasbro products can't even get my most fragile plants in the garden wet. The shell looks pretty cool, but the intended performance level is meh. Max-D pistols shoot farther than that. It i...

Re: Buzz Bee Toys Independent Again
Yeah, that's quick. Actually, quite a lot changed, but only really on the foam side of things. Buzz Bee under Alex Brands clearly recieved a huge infusion of resources in their dart blasters. They completely overhauled their mag system, going from shells in ugly staircase mags to 20rd standard mags ...

Other water wars? Portables yo. Nerf wars? Apoc, CTNO, NENO, Mechout, NYCNO, Yolostock, Philanerfia, Endwar, what flavor of traitor should I even choose? Dinner dates? We're done if she doesn't like water guns... Beach trips? MUSSELS! Weddings? Just get hitched at the war.

Re: If you could only have 3 water guns
I have established favorites based on a wide variety of factors: 1. CPS 1200. One of the best in its class, and holds its own against big CPS. Readily obtainable at very affordable prices. Has more endurance than the 1000 and 2100 in terms of water storage and usage. When I have one tuned with an MK...

Re: Super Soaker 50 20th Anniversary
Most collectors nowadays are actually looking for the original version of the SS 50. They're willing to pay up to $55 for that (don't ask why, I've never understood the reasoning). The original is worth more than some CPS, and the whole SS line and many XPs are seeing pretty mystifying price floors ...

Re: HOG
I've decided to commit. This is probably not the greatest idea medically-speaking, but I really want to do it. Most of my soakers work, I can kind of chew food now, and I still have all of my natural dodging speed. One concern though is that *someone* should still have a phone for emergency 911. I'v...

I'm still unable to confirm. I used Apoc to test where I'm at post-infection, and it's not good. That ~20 seconds of speed endurance is my *total* pool of it...after which, my ability to run collapses. I basically need to start over with running like it's 2003 again, which is really sad personally, ...

Re: Battle for Little Creek
My August weekends fill up in a hurry, so I'd need to know well in advance. There's still a lot of uncertainty in my schedule, too. I can eat limited solid food as of today, so I am bulking back up, but that's going to be a war in and of itself. Restoration of my previous weight will take a surplus ...

Re: CPS 2500 Screw Size
Small industrial screws can be difficult to find and the prices don't tend to be great if you do find them. There is an easy way of acquiring more screws, just head to a thrift store (or garage sale) and look for plastic toys (they don't even need to be blasters). Find something with a matching scre...

Re: Durability vs. Reliabilty
Classic SS are not necessarily fragile. The SS 200 will likely crack if you drop one while it's full, but the smaller ones and the 300 are surprisingly durable. The 300 lever mech can break, but you can put a screw through it for an easy repair. They just have so few moving parts that it really take...

I had a medical emergency from Sunday to today and am recovering food/sleep now. Won't be able to go, I'm supposed to rest and keep a strict antibiotic schedule. I definitely want to visit again, but this weekend isn't the right time. Edit: At New Year's, I left my woodland bottoms and green+orange ...

My car runs...but I dunno if I want to do another long drive after just having done the 16 and 14 to Ohio last weekend. Ask me when it's cooler out and I'm not melting, I can't think straight right now due to melting.

Re: Maintenance is essential now more than ever!
I used to do some pretty heavy mods, but that was when things like 2100s were readily available for $6.99 at Sports Authority. Nowadays, I usually leave rare soakers stock or near stock, only modding common models (1000, 1200, 150, etc) that I know can easily have parts replaced. Instead of doing po...

Re: Did some range testing today, CPS & Homemades
Interesting results with the 1200s. Every MK2 and MK4 I've seen shoots about 4-8ft less than MK1s and MK3s. Are you sure that you've properly identified them? MK1/3 are traditionally thought of as having nozzle covers that are "not glued", but in fact the sides can be glued...it's just a whole lot l...

Re: Have manufacturers given up?
Two words: Legal issues. Manufacturers like Hasbro and Alex Brands are technically wholesalers. Most big retailers require them to sign contracts that forbid direct sales to consumers. You can't have a deal with say, Walmart or Target, and still offer the same products direct. Also, keep in mind tha...
