Looks like everyone voted like I did. More CPS, more output, better range. Soakers are already quite durable, color schemes can be fixed w/ spraypaint; it only makes sense that people would want more power.

Re: Assassins Article in NYT
That right there is certifiably awesome. And it's what will advance this sport. Imagine that with 600-1000 people, corporate sponsors, entry fees to supply the winner's pot...who wouldn't want to participate, and what company wouldn't want to one-up each other supplying equipment?

Haha. Reminds me of a quote: "No man need be a complete failure. Some can be a very good bad example." Good job.

I would've worn that way back when. I'd like to see one with a CPS 2700 on it too.

Re: 2009 Stock Soaker Predictions
Super Soaker:Three piston soakers. Small and medium air-pressure soakers. And one that will either be a small CPS, or look like it. Water Warriors:Rerelease of their entire line. Newer soakers will be essentially older soakers in new shells. The entire sport will continue to be marketed to children ...

Re: Actual usabilty of water guns
It's the software, not the hardware. A skilled user with an XP220 is going to give a n00b with a CPS 2000 a headache. A skilled user with a CPS 2000 is going to be practically unstoppable. It's all about knowing your equipment and yourself. We shouldn't be so focused on waterguns winning waterwars, ...

Re: How many do you typically use?
Dang, I thought it was how many do you use at one time. I'll use a bunch during a waterfight. WaterWar 5 I used a CPS 2000, 2700, 3200, Pirahna, Storm 800 & 1200, and a Secret Strike. And that's just what I can remember. Having multiple filled guns around is quicker than having to refill all the tim...

Voted large. I like my pistols a lot, but there's something nice about something you need two hands to use properly. Not to mention the power attendant to a larger water weapon.

Never played with a scoring system since were always fighting soakfest style. We just compared t-shirts after the fight was over. The team that was the least soaked won.

Re: Water Warfare Scenario 6: Tree House Seige
Does the treehouse have a roof? Are the branches low enough to the top of the walls to be an effective cover? No matter the answers, my answer is the same, it just makes things easier for me. I'm going to pack my entire team into the treehouse, and we're going to pick off attackers as they come for ...

Re: Water Warfare Olympics
I like all the ideas here, but I think DX's idea is fantastic. Countries fighting with soakers would be funny to see. Some type of timed running and gunning scenario (between say, a dozen different stations) with various types of soakers would be good as well. Hitting the targets reduces your time, ...

If you play stupid games, you will win stupid prizes. And by stupid games, I do not mean waterfighting. That is anything but stupid. I mean chasing people around and throwing fruit juice on them. Sure, jacking the author of a drive-by-fruiting in the face is more than a little rash, but you have to ...

Re: Well this was a waste...
Ok, so you're dealing with punks. Unless they're actively threatening you and you feel your life is in danger, you have no reason to grease anybody. So give that switchblade to a family member, go find a councellor(sp?) and get some help on the anger issues. As for dealing with them, unless they're ...

Re: Well this was a waste...
Nobody's talking about condemning or exiling anyone, just taking sensible precautions around ignoramuses, and possibly helping to change the face of water warfare. If I was a parent I know I'd rather see a bunch of young adults on the playground come up to me and say "Hey, we're going to be waterfig...

Don't let a bunch of idiots get you down. Expect the worst, that way you're never disappointed. Have an alternate location (or two) picked out. Show up early to talk to the parents and assure them that pookie won't catch a 10x beam or three. Stay away from other people. Seriously. Just concentrate o...

Re: Scenario: Tournament Thoughts
For a scoring system I'd recommend a piece of paper about 3 inches by 3 inches square safety-pinned to the center of a t-shirt. And a baseball cap. A hit anywhere on the hat is a kill, as is soaking the paper. No need for funky soakertags that turn into multi-colored sludge and stick to your shirt. ...

Re: Best Water Guns according to Popular Mechanics
Those are definitely NOT the best water guns. Those water guns need permission to bow before the best water guns.
If that list included the '98(?) CPS line, it would live up to its name of the best. Until then, uh uh.

Awesome score. You don't really hear of people finding stuff like that in the couch cushions next to the remote and loose change. Good job!
