Re: Bring Back the League!

Bringing the League back is an interesting idea. I think we might be going about it wrong though. Instead of meeting up for a single battle, we should do multiple battles starting with a 3 hour League battle with fixed teams, but then going into our more regular style and mixing the teams up. That w...

Re: HOG

What's going on with Labor Day? If the issue is just with local people (in Kingston) maybe I could try and hold something around DC.

Re: HOG

Just checked and I do have Labor Day off for school, I wanted to make sure as my school rarely has days off during the semester, I think the only other one I get for the fall is Thanksgiving. My Friday class goes until 11:50 am, which should give me enough time to pick up David (depending on if/when...

Re: HOG

I start classes on the 28th of August. While it might be possible to drive up there then depending on my workload, I'd prefer to have it before then. Next weekend is open for me. I will try not to drop off for two months so I can communicate with you all on future war plans. Heck, maybe I can even m...

Re: HOG

Don't forget backpacks to carry the food/water! I always carry one, and it is a great idea.

Re: HOG

Only two days to go! Not really sure if I should be excited or scared. Really wish I could get some local friends to go, but the way you have been playing up the intensity of this, I don't think any of them could handle it and would likely ruin the event with their complaining. Haven't even finished...

Re: Battle for Little Creek

With the LEGO con starting only two days after I got back, I haven't even had time to put stuff away from this trip, but I wanted to pop on real quick and thank marauder for hosting and everyone else who could come. It was a really great war, I keep having to remind myself it was only 6 people, beca...

Re: Battle for Little Creek

Chief: Taking the bus is fine, we talked about it and realized that without a phone pickup might be hard. in fact David realized if he took the bus he could come a few days early and have time to hang out with me, play my model trains, and go on a big thrifting run! I think he plans to take the bus ...

Re: Battle for Little Creek

Double post, but I figured it would be more obvious then updated the post above. David is able to come if Chief can pick him up at Newark-Penn Station. Alternatively he might be able to take a Bus down to DC a couple days early and pick him up here. I believe Chief you said you don't have a phone at...

Re: Battle for Little Creek

Sure, it would be nice to have company in the car. Actually Chief, could you pick up David at Newark-Penn Station? I still have to call/text him tomorrow to see if he is even able to come, but if he is, it would make a lot more sense if you got him on the way down and I could go pick up Ben. If not ...

Re: Battle for Little Creek

August 2nd-6th are the only dates I know I am not available. That said, I am probably going to go on an RV trip with my grandpa sometime in August, so it would be best to have dates for the war planned out soon so that I can plan that other trip. Also is SEAL still planning on having a war in NY?

Re: Battle for Little Creek

Our scenario revolves around a team of prisoners of war who make a jail break deep within enemy territory. They must avoid being hunted down, arm themselves, and find each other before taking down high value enemy targets in an effort to win the war from behind enemy lines. As you can guess, some w...

Re: Battle for Little Creek

I have three water proof cameras, but none of them are very good. The "best" one captures motion well, has the longest battery life, but has messed up white balance so things have a yellow tint to them. The other one is about the same size, but has more motion blur and terrible battery lif...

Re: Battle for Little Creek

Chief: I'd be down for carpooling, it is nice to have company on a long car ride. The car I usually drive (the Volvo wagon) isn't do so good ether, but my dad said I could take the "new" (2015) Subaru he got last week, so we should be good. Was thinking if you are coming down from NY, you ...

I think a lot of the membership has been "nerfed" if you know what I mean. Ain't too many purists left. I haven't been "nerfed" I just got distracted with LEGO, video games, and internet and didn't look at the site for two months! :goofy: Good thing I decided to check in on thin...

I am rather late in replying to this, school, moving in with grandma (long story), and other stresses caused me to drop out for a bit, then the usual thing happened where I was so anxious about being behind on reading posts... Yeah, anyway This event sounds totally crazy and a lot of fun. I am in fo...

Re: 2017 Nerf Super Soakers

I have an old Nerf Switch Shot, it is in my pile of broken blasters. If I get around to fixing it this summer, I might buy a DartFire just to compare the two. The Switch Shot wasn't that great as a water blaster, but it was still pressurized unlike the DartFire. I totally want to buy that sprinkler ...

Re: 2017 Water Wars

It seems like northern wars are off right now as there is an issue with lodging/hosting that is no fault to the people who live up that way. It may be on Scott and I to carry the fight right now. Responsibility!? Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! :goofy: Well I should be able to put something together once people kno...

Re: Life Straw

I tend to go through a lot of drinking water during wars, this would be very useful. I agree though, something with a pump would be more useful, then I could refill my water bottle with it. As for filling blasters, I used to be very picky with that, I was only willing to fill from fresh sources. The...

Re: Adventure Force Storm Surge - Walmart CPS

One of these years I need to go up there during Toy Fair. Honestly I'd be just as interested in talking to the guys at Rokenbok as I would the water gun companies.
